Hopefully some day you will have the courage to share privately as this will continue to eat away at you. More importantly, relationships do come and go and so do the regrets for the loss. It's natural. What isn't natural is the obsession that can come when a closing isn't closed. For me, when I've closed these relationships like this in the past, I've found that I was the one who lamented so much and the other person hadn't been so stressed out over the natural end of the relationship. They had moved on, but I hadn't. I'd wasted all that energy. Same some energy and take the next step. You may find the rewards are better than the fear. And thanks for sharing. I'm sure there are others out there like you in the same situation who can learn from you. We’ve all done this, and good for you for having the courage to share.
